![]() Young children will really enjoy this game, due in part to the hidden games within. ![]() Players must find all 15 to see the final "mystery" screen and hear the CyberBuds' song. Hidden in the four stores and the park of Cybertown are 15 CyberBuds (three in each location). All of Cybertown was abuzz with anticipation, preparing extravagant feasts of chili, pizza and lagers of every kind to celebrate the event.īut, lurking in the near future, was the knowledge that soon Monday would come. The object of Gus Goes to Cybertown is simple. This year, the extravaganza was to take place in a land called Tampa Bay with the competing teams calling themselves the Steelers and the Cardinals. Sunday night even offered observance of the popular annual competition played by large beasts clothed in tight spandex and hard round hats. Cybies went about their typical routines of errands and merriment and overall niceness. But, to ElleMtee's great dismay, their caring ways continued.Īs expected, the curse lay dormant on Saturday and Sunday of the first week, and relative normalcy returned to the land. ![]() Cybernites remained intently focused on the odd box, their fingers pressing button after button. To confuse the evil one, Notallforme allowed portions of the curse to continue working. So, when Notallforme, the wonderfully selfless but equally powerful good witch, had heard of ElleMtee's curse, she simply waved her magic wand and the people of Cybertown resumed their caring ways. Now, as with every classic fairytale, where there is an evil witch, there is undoubtedly a good witch, ready to help the townsfolk defeat the curse and restore peace and harmony. "How could these Cybernites ever have time to be thinking of each other now? Soon they'll turn on each other, and forget their caring ways, and Cybertown will be mine.all mine!", ElleMtee cackled, confident her spell had worked to perfection. Such simultaneous extreme highs and lows kept the spellbound citizens of Cybertown wanting more, less, or even none of the strange happenings to continue. Nothing could deter their attention.Īt times they felt puppet-like, strumming away at the buttons, certain that one thing would happen, when, without warning, everything changed. Many were so consumed that they would even forgo basic sustenance, such as food and sleep. But, one thing was constant.all were transfixed. Some had expressions of pure elation, while others were afflicted with rage or sorrow. But no matter where they were, two times a day (sometimes more), Monday through Friday, the curse caused all Cybies to move uncontrollably, feverishly pressing little tiny buttons that made the funny box change.Īs they pressed and pressed, their reactions varied. Some of the boxes were found in their homes, others were placed where they were employed. ![]() The spell caused Cybernites (known among the locals as " Cybies") to be hypnotized by an odd little box. So, she cast a spell upon all who lived in Cybertown in an effort to rid them of their caring ways. One day, the evil witch ElleMtee knew that such selflessness would put a serious cramp in her plans to rule the world. Likewise, when one felt low in spirit, mere moments would pass before another would offer words of encouragement. It was quite commonplace for one town member to go out of his or her way to provide all sorts of information to help another in need. While that, in itself, was an unusual phenomenon, what was even more remarkable was that each of its citizens had genuine concern for everyone else's welfare. Once upon a time, in an enormously vast land called Cybertown, there lived a great many inhabitants who, oddly enough, had never met each other. It is meant to be fun, so I hope you enjoy it. I was inspired to write this story because of all of the thoughtful, helpful people I have met in "cyberspace" during Last Minute Travel's "The World for $1" promotion.
